The developer explicitly describes local couch co-op shared through Steam Remote Play Together. Invite a friend through that Steam feature when playing remotely; do not confuse streaming the local session with a promised cross-platform matchmaking service.
Where do you activate it now?
The Body Split update moves the cooperative activator to Morgan’s prison cell alongside the appearance stand. An old video may show the previous location.
What changed for split-screen?
The Descent release patch adds horizontal split-screen for local cooperation. Later updates also fix progression and encounter triggers. Match the current installation before treating an old bug report as a permanent limitation.
